BIG SHOT 2(Oct. 23rd)

in the last BIG SHOT post (HERE) I mentioned the Big Shot product I used the most, now we move onto the one I use the least....LETTERPRESS!

I do like the look LETTERPRESS.....but often pass it by because it's a little fussy!  It seems...there's more room for error, a few tips & tricks come in handy when using Letterpress.  They are not as quick and easy as embossing folders.

To be fair to LETTERPRESS, it's not really fair to compare letterpress to embossing folders.   They are a different product.......it's kind of like comparing to apples to oranges.

Letterpress, presses an image into the cardstock(watercolor paper(recommended)).  The impression does not press through to the other side of the cardstock.  When using embossing folders you end up with an image on both sides of the cardstock....and embossed side, and de-bossed side(you choose which side you want to use).  Letterpress gives you a de-bossed side, and the side remains flat.

When you look at a project made with Letterpress it might look like a stamped image, when you get up close you will see that the paper is actually de-bossed......pretty cool!

Here is a card I created using a Letterpress.......the scroll image on the Cherry Cobbler is done using a Letterpress plate.  (this card is also up for re-make......the PEACE part of it)
on this card the press is the LOVE images on the Crumb Cake piece!

You might wonder why am I telling you all of this........if you decide to take advantage of the great recruiting special(below)......you will need want to know which BIG SHOT products you might want down the road.  Hopefully this post will help you understand LETTERPRESS a little better(I feel bad, kind of gave them a BAD RAP)!
