Just4U online crop CHALLENGE 5(OLC)

If you know me.....you knew this one was coming(sorry Heather)!

Yes......I love OLC(one layer cards)!

  •  Not sure what the draw is...me and OLC?
  • They are challenging for sure!
  • They make us simplify....which is sometime good!
  • Great for mailing(thin)
  • Clean & Simple...Quick & Easy
Okay ladies......please share your OLC!

NOTE: the OLC refers to paper/cardstock .....you can add embellishments, but no layers of paper/cardstock!

I have four challenges to work on.....guess which one I picked to do first(lol)?

Here's my OLC....sample I seen on SCS and loved! (cased from Nancy Littrel)

Although I cased the over all design, I did change up a few things.  I used naturals paper instead of glossy, simply because I didn't read the description on the original card before I made my card.  The exciting thing for me, is that I added shimmer paint!

I may have come up with an original idea!?  There's a chance someone in the crafting world has done this...??...but in my craft room, it's ALL mine(makes me happy)!!  I added rubbing alcohol and shimmer paint to an aquapainter(like we've done in a spray bottle)....how cool is that?!  The great thing about this is that you can add shimmer to projects without spraying it.....this gives you more control, allowing you to apply shimmer where ever you want........LOVE THAT!

Card made by Christina.....in Jan./Feb./Mar. flowers make me so happy, this is a HAPPY card!

Leann's card......very well done, thanks so much for joining us(I knew you'd catch up!)

I figured that since I can’t have layers, I’d pretend I had layers. I dry embossed Confetti Cream cardstock using 2 nestabilities to create a faux frame, masked and sponged with Cajun Craze on the outside edges and Crumb Cake on the inner edge. Used SU markers to colour and stamp the image from Just Believe on the blank panel in the centre. Used my SAMJ to place it where I wanted it.  Of course I gave it a quick shot of Shimmer Paint solution (masked it so only the centre panel was showing). Popped on a sentiment and I have a One Layer Card!!!!
